My process is simple, relaxed, and designed to be worry free so you.
I’ll guide you every step of the way, from finding the perfect time for your session to helping you pose and creating a comfortable space for your family to shine.
Originally from Victoria, BC, I spent 10 years in the Bay Area, earning my MFA in photography and running my portrait business. I’ll help you plan a session tailored to your family—from what to wear to how to keep everyone happy and relaxed.

How it works
1: BOOK
After reviewing Julia’s pricing, inquire for your online booking link or first contact Julia to answer any questions.
A non-refundable booking fee and contract is required to reserve your session time.
Digitals and products are purchased separately, and not included in the booking fee.
2: PLAN
Julia can handle everything—from styling to scheduling—if you’d rather not choose colors or outfits. She offers a full prop closet, the option to purchase clothing on your behalf, and an optional style questionnaire.
Julia will coordinate your family’s looks and timing, especially with toddlers and hair and makeup (optional).
Julia also includes all her tips and resources for a seamless session and can arrange her hair and makeup if desired.
3: SESSION DAY
Set aside
2 hours for your studio maternity session
3 hours for a full newborn session
1 hour for a mini swaddled newborn session
30 minutes - 1 hour for a milestone session
Julia doesn’t rush babies, posing takes time and finesse. My sessions are structured to proceed at a relaxed pace, accommodating both you and your children comfortably.
4: CHOOSE YOUR PHOTOS
Too busy to come back to my studio for an order appointment? No problem!
One week after your session, we'll meet on ZOOM for a 40-minute appointment that’s convenient for you.
I'll show you a slideshow of all the images in 'proof' form, with two fully edited ‘sneak peek’ images for context.
I will personally help you choose the best images for your collection.
Forgo your order appointment with a luxe or deluxe collection and receive discount!
5: DELIVERY
Your images will be fully edited and delivered through an online gallery for easy download and sharing.
Digital images come in full resolution + optimized for web and mobile.
Final products like frames and albums will be delivered to your home within a few weeks.
After full payment, you'll receive:
