My Newborn Photography Style: Soft, Focused, and Full of Emotion

How I Capture the Moment

When I take newborn photos, I always want your eyes to land right where the emotion is—usually your baby’s eyes or that sweet little expression. That’s why I shoot with a super shallow depth of field (photographer talk for: only one part of the photo is super sharp, the rest is dreamy and soft).

That Beautiful Blur (aka Bokeh)

You’ll notice in my photos that the closest eye is always in focus, and everything else gently fades away. That blur is called bokeh, and I love it—it adds this soft, artistic feel that draws you right into the moment.

Natural, Intimate, and Timeless

I don’t add this effect later—it's all in how I shoot. It’s a style that feels natural, emotional, and a little bit cinematic. If you love photos that have heart and depth, that’s what I aim to create every time.

Let’s Make Something Beautiful

I honestly love doing this—freezing these tiny, fleeting moments. If you're into this style, I’d be thrilled to capture something special for you.
