Why I Love Being a Posed Newborn Photographer

As a posed newborn photographer, I get to create beautiful, timeless portraits of your precious little ones.
Below is a posed newborn session done in my Seattle studio in the Greenwood area.

Here’s why I love what I do:

  • Creating Art:

    • I get to use my creativity to craft stunning images that you’ll cherish forever.

    • Every photo is like a piece of art, carefully designed and composed.

  • Attention to Detail:

    • I love focusing on the tiny details – the delicate fingers, the soft cheeks, the sweet expressions, how tiny and flexible they are.

    • Making sure every prop and backdrop is just right is part of the fun for me.

  • Controlled Environment:

    • Working in a studio means I can control the lighting and temperature to keep your baby comfortable.

    • It allows me to create the perfect conditions for capturing those adorable poses.

  • Safety First:

    • I’m trained to handle newborns safely, ensuring they are always comfortable and secure during the session.

      • for example did you know the “froggie pose”, is two different images that are put together in photoshop. Baby’s can’t (and shouldn’t) be left to hold their heads up on their wrists.

    • I use special techniques to gently pose your baby without any risk.

  • Props:

    • Using simple props like tiny hats, blankets, and baskets adds a magical touch to the photos.

    • I focus on simple props, not incorporating too many details in the image. Keeping focus on baby.

  • Capturing Milestones:

    • Newborn photos capture a fleeting moment in time when your baby is brand new.

    • It’s a joy to provide families with beautiful memories of these early days.

  • Building Connections:

    • I get to meet wonderful families and share in their joy of welcoming a new baby.

    • It’s rewarding to see the happiness my photos bring to parents and family.

    • I really love following people’s journey’s through parenthood. I photograph maternity through the first and 2nd year of your child’s life.

  • Personal Touch:

    • Every session is personalized to reflect your family’s style and preferences. You get to choose the colors I incorporate, and even have the option to include a personal heirloom item, such as a knit blanket from great grandma.

    • I love collaborating with parents to create images that are meaningful to them.

Being a posed newborn photographer allows me to blend artistry with the joy of capturing the precious early moments of a baby’s life. It’s a passion and a privilege that I treasure every day.
