3 Things I Love About Being a Seattle Family Photographer
Being a family photographer means I get a front-row seat to some of the most heartwarming, hilarious, and downright beautiful moments life has to offer. From sleepy newborns to wild sibling energy and everything in between—every session is a little different, and I love that.
Here are three things that make this work feel like such a gift:
1. The Real, Candid Moments
I live for unplanned stuff. That quick hand grab from a toddler, a shy smile, the way your kid suddenly breaks into a belly laugh mid-snuggle—those are the gold. Outdoor sessions are especially great for this, giving us room to move, play, and just be.
2. Watching Families Grow
One of the coolest parts of my job? Seeing your family year after year. Maybe I first photographed your bump, then your newborn, and now you’re back for fall minis with a running, giggling toddler. It’s like flipping through your family’s storybook—and I get to help illustrate it. Pretty amazing.
3. Keeping It Low-Key and Fun
Let’s be honest: family photos can feel intimidating. But they really don’t have to be. I do everything I can to make your session relaxed, stress-free, and even fun (yes, fun!). I work around wiggly kids, snack breaks, and mood swings. Whether it’s a full session or a quick mini, it’s all about capturing you—without the pressure.
