What to expect at your studio maternity session?

What can you anticipate during your maternity photo session at my studio?

Your posed maternity session will last about 1.5-2 hours.

I am worried about posing, I don’t know how to pose. Can I still have a maternity session?

Not to worry, I will guide you and instruct you on posing for your entire session. I will tell you where to put your legs, hands etc. Just relax and let me lead the way.

What do I wear for my maternity session?

I have a full prop closet here for you to use at no additional cost. 

If you don’t like my gowns you are welcome to bring your own outfits, or choose some of mine and some of yours. 

How do I know what gown will fit me?

Most of my gowns fit most clients. 

You choose your gowns, we get on zoom a couple weeks before your session for a consultations. In that appointment I can see what you look like and best guide you to what will fit and what may not. 

And if they don’t fit, we have the entire closet at our disposal while you are in studio to change.

What should my partner and sibling wear?

Follow my general guidelines of my what to wear here. 

That means choose like colors and tones, solid colors.

For example, do not match a dark dress with a light outfit. 

You can send me photos of their outfits and I can make suggestions. 

What will be the schedule that day if I have a partner or my older child included?

We will start with just mom for an hour, then partner (and sibling if applicable) can arrive for the 2nd hour. 

Or vice versa if that works better for your family. 

This way no one has to sit and wait longer than needed for ‘their turn’.

When will I get my hair and makeup done?

If you choose my HMUA then she will either come to your home or my studio (based on your location), about 2-3 hours before your session. 

If you want to go with your own artist, just be ready for your session time. I suggest 3-4 hours before so you can get to your session on time.
