Who participates in a newborn session?

The newborn, the newborn's parents, and the newborn's siblings are all included. I do not conduct newborn sessions without parents.

Why do you only do newborn sessions with parents included in the photos?

I feel capturing those first family moments is a big deal to me.  And hey, if you're not feeling your absolute best, no sweat—we'll go through the pics together after the session, and you only pick the ones you love.

Did you know? I used to set limits on the number of newborn and family shots that people could choose, but turns out, folks couldn't get enough of those family pics. So, I tweaked things to make sure you get what you really want.

You may regret it if we don’t capture it, but if you don’t love the proof you don’t have to buy the image!

Are newborn props provided at your studio session?

Yes, my tailor-made props for newborn photographers are all included.

Guess what? Some folks out there have these little businesses solely for selling props to newborn photographers. It's a super niche gig, but pretty cool. I've handpicked my props based on online suggestions and what vibes with my photography style. So, no need to haul anything along – I got it covered!

What items should I bring for my newborn session?

Just bring yourselves, pack some extra milk (like 10oz or more), toss in a pacifier, grab a bunch of extra diapers (7 should do), pick out a cute outfit for the little one to head home in, don't forget a cozy baby blanket, remember your trusty breast pump (it’s too long to go without pumping), throw in some snacks or a meal, and grab a water bottle. A cinch :)

What if I have a c-section?

No worries! If you end up having a c-section, it's all good – over half the moms I work with go through the same thing, totally common. I'll come lend a hand, so you don't have to lug anything around. Plus, feel free to kick back on my daybed and chill while I work my magic with your baby's photos.

Do you still wear masks in your studio?

Yes, I consistently wear a KN95 mask during all my sessions with newborn sessions. The use of masks is optional for you.

What happens if I deliver my baby prematurely?

You still notify me once your baby is born, and we discuss the optimal time for you to visit.

Why don’t you give out raw files?

Photographers,  including myself, avoid sharing raw files with clients due to several reasons. Raw files require specialized software and knowledge for proper handling, and sharing them may lead to unintended alterations or misrepresentations of the photographer's vision. These files are also larger and less convenient for transfer compared to edited formats like JPEG. Providing clients with edited and finalized images allows photographers to showcase their post-processing skills, maintain a consistent level of quality, and retain control over the final output, protecting their professional reputation and preserving the integrity of their creative vision.
